Healing doesn't require talent. My sessions are designed for absolutely no prior experience. It is the most effective pathway when words fall short of expressing deep emotions.
Welcome. I am a dedicated art therapist and parent guide with over two decades of experience helping individuals find their balance. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Special Education and I am a certified art therapist and parent guide.
My professional journey is diverse, encompassing work within educational systems and public psychiatry. Today I run a private practice in Cascais, serving Cascais, Estoril, Carcavelos, Oeiras and Lisbon, both expats and locals. Sessions are available in English and Hebrew.

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses drawing, painting and other visual materials as the main channel of expression instead of words alone. Working with images lets you approach feelings that are hard to say out loud, which is why it is effective for anxiety, trauma and grief. A trained art therapist guides the process and helps you make sense of what emerges.
No. Art therapy requires no talent, training or prior experience whatsoever. Nothing you make is judged as art, and no one else sees it. The value is in the process of making, not in the result, so people who describe themselves as unable to draw usually do just as well as anyone else.
The private practice is based in Cascais, Portugal, and serves the surrounding Lisbon coast, including Estoril, Carcavelos, Parede, São Domingos de Rana and Oeiras, as well as central Lisbon. To arrange a session, call +351 925 184 220 or email Gali.mazor@gmail.com.
Yes. Sessions are held in English and in Hebrew. That makes the practice a fit for expats and international residents on the Lisbon coast who would rather do therapy in their own language than in Portuguese.
Adults, teenagers and children. It is commonly used for anxiety and stress, trauma processing, grief and loss, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and life transitions such as relocation, career change or family change. All of these are common for people who have recently moved to Portugal.
Parent guidance is work with the parents rather than with the child. Sessions focus on understanding what is driving a child's behaviour and on building practical responses at home. It is often combined with art therapy for the child, but it can also stand on its own.
More than 20 years of clinical practice, spanning educational systems and public psychiatry before moving into private practice. Gali holds a B.A. in Psychology and Special Education and is a certified art therapist and parent guide.
